Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Won’t Have A Single Player Campaign

As rumoured before launch, Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 will not have a traditional single player campaign.

This was confirmed by Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia, who wouldn’t say exactly why there wasn’t a single player campaign in the game. It’s definitely a strange one for them to gloss over, considering it’s the first time that a Call of Duty game hasn’t had a single-player campaign.

For those that want to play solo, Treyarch did confirm that there would be tutorials for all of the specialists and also some solo missions that seem to provide at least some narrative for each of them.

Treyarch is also looking at making the Zombies mode deeper than ever, with three major co-op maps across three different time period. There will also be bots in Zombies mode, so you’re able to play offline, but still get that same “team” feeling without playing with your friends.

It’s not all bad news though with a new Battle Royale mode called Blackout being confirmed for Black Ops 4.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 is releasing on October 12th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
