Well, Sony just dropped System Software Update 6.00 for PS4, but so far, it’s incredibly underwhelming.
Whilst major software updates normally bring significant functionality, so far, 6.00 doesn’t appear to do a whole lot outside of stability (which seems odd).
The patch notes read:
‘This system software update improves system performance’
It’s possible that this might activate something in the backend that Sony will reveal at a later date, but it seems to be completely different to how they normally do major updates.
The update comes in at 447.4mb and so far and it’s necessary to play online, so you’ll want to get downloading before your nightly gaming session.
