The Next Call Of Duty Is Probably Going To Be A Modern Warfare Reboot

It’s about that time of year when another Call of Duty title leaks into the wild, just before E3, and it seems as if the cycle is repeating itself right now.

This evening, YouTuber LongSensation tweeted the following about the game, which is presumed to be in development by Infinity Ward for release later this year.

We can safely assume that this means that the storylines established in both Ghosts and Infinite Warfare will be abandoned in place of what Kotaku’s Jason Schreier is calling a story that focuses “heavy on troubling, realistic emotional moments, very much inspired by the controversial No Russian campaign in Modern Warfare 2″.

Simply called “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”, the game is allegedly a soft reboot of the sub-franchise.

The game has already been shown to a select group of American footballers, YouTubers and “influencers”, with a full reveal due on May 30th according to Eurogamer.

More as it develops.
