It’s not to be.
After a really bizarre Metal Gear Solid themed video played just before the Tekken 7 grand finals at EVO 2019, it’s now been confirmed that this was just a “little joke” that EVO were playing on the audience and Snake is in-fact not coming to Tekken 7 (to their knowledge).
The video that appeared on screen showed audio and imagery from Solid Snake’s codec radio with the audio saying “That was some good ass Tekken”. The video quickly swept the internet and fans both at the venue as well as online assumed that this was a tease for Solid Snake coming to Tekken 7, but EVO later confirmed that it was just a joke that they played without the permission of Bandai Namco.

Just to clear things up, the Snake cameo video that we showed during Tekken finals was our idea of a little joke. It was not intended to imply a character reveal, and was done on our own, without consulting Bandai Namco. Sorry for any confusion!
