Resident Evil 8

Resident Evil 8 Is Actually Called Resident Evil Village And It’s Coming To Next Gen Consoles

Capcom has announced Resident Evil: Village and all of the leaks were true.

The trailer opens rather ominously before shifting focus to the titular village, which looks almost like it’s trapped in time. As per the previous leaks, it looks as if the game will feature bizarre human-wolf hybrids and witch-like women dedicating themselves to a clandestine cause.

The developers took to YouTube after the presentation to confirm that the game will run on the latest version of RE Engine, have a little bit more of a focus on action, as well as no load times.

The inventory system has also been rehauled – resembling something more akin to Resident Evil 4 than anything previously.

The game takes place several years after Resident Evil 7, and will presumably follow Ethan again – though Chris Redfield seems to play a part (maybe even as a villain? who knows)
