Ubisoft’s PS5/Xbox Series X Games Won’t Cost More At Launch

According to reports, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed, during an investor meeting earlier today, that all games Ubisoft games coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X this holiday season will cost the same as current generation copies of the same title. This is the opposite to that of NBA 2K21 which we know will cost more on PS5/Xbox Series X.

This means that you can expect to pay the standard RRP AUD$99.99 (or whatever you would normally pay, depending on where you buy your games) for any Ubisoft game scheduled for release this holiday season, regardless of whether you buy it for your PS4 or Ps5, namely Far Cry 6 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

For the Christmas games,” said Guillemot, “We plan to come with the same price as the previous generation of consoles. That’s what we’re focused on at the moment,” though the company did not comment on what would happen to the price of these games after Christmas or the price point of any games scheduled for release early next year.
