Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Has The Into The Spider-Verse Suit And It’s Animated Just Like The Movie

PlayStation and Marvel have both given us our first look at the Into the Spider-Verse suit that’ll feature in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales when it launches on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The suit is an early access offer, along with some other goodies, through pre-ordering. The developer, Insomniac Games, has confirmed that the suit would be unlockable through other means for those who don’t decide to pre-purchase.

It’s certainly good news for those who’d already planned on picking up Miles Morales to be able to sling around in the signature suit, which, outside of the comics, put the character of Miles Morales on the map.

The developers have even gone the extra mile in making sure there’s a motion filter, which can also be applied to any of the game’s suits, that gives the effect of missing frames in an attempt to mimic the missing frames aesthetic of the 2018 film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

By animating him at half of the film’s framerate, the animators were able to give a real sense of Miles’ inexperience, which also plays a large role in the game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales releases for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12.
