The Next Three Call Of Duty Games At The Very Least Will Apparently Launch On PlayStation Consoles

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier is reporting that Activision Blizzard is committed to releasing the next three Call of Duty games on PlayStation platforms. This includes Call Of Duty 2022, Call Of Duty 2023 and Call Of Duty Warzone 2 (also 2023). All three of these games were set to be apart of existing agreements between PlayStation and Activision Blizzard

This year’s Call of Duty game is expected to be in the Modern Warfare series with next year’s title set to be in development at Treyarch.

After these three games, it is said that it become a little hazier, with the acquisition set to be closed out within 18 months, which gives Microsoft a load of time to work out what to do after these three releases. Due to the significant revenue driven for Call of Duty on PlayStation platforms, it’ll be interesting to see what they end up deciding to do, and they may very well keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following these three releases.

Xbox Head Phil Spencer took to Twitter last week to say that “We expect that Microsoft will abide by contractual agreements and continue to ensure Activision games are multiplatform.”

Thanks, Bloomberg.
