MultiVersus Season 1 Includes A Classic Arcade Mode, New Characters And LeBron James As Robin

MultiVersus season 1 is launching at some point in the very near future (it was delayed from its original August 8th release date) and we now know that it’ll be bringing quite a bit of new content, thanks to an announcement that took place at Evo earlier today.

Along with season 1, we’ll be getting a new single player classic arcade mode, new cosmetics (50 tiers) including LeBron James as Robin as well as the iconic Bugs Bunny Valkyrie skin as well as new characters such as Rick and Morty and others that are yet to be announced.

There will also be a ranked mode for those that want to take their gameplay to a whole new level.

Thanks to a date mine, we know that the arcade mode for season 1 will have three difficulties (easy, medium and hard) and up to 10 stages. It also appears to have a rivalry match type where it’s presumed that people from the same season will likely go up against each other.

We don’t yet have a release date for Season 1 of MultiVersus, but we expect it’ll likely be in the late stages of August or maybe even September.

We gave MultiVersus an 8/10 in our review and said: “MultiVersus is a fantastic foundation for a great platform that will only grow with time. It combines a solid fighting system with an excellent starting roster of characters to offer a platforming fighter like no other. There are some kinks to be ironed out, but MultiVersus is in a prime position to hit the ground running.”

Obviously, MultiVersus is in a great shape going into its first season and to be honest, I can’t wait to see what this game does in the coming months, given the platform that has been built, it’s extremely promising and can only go higher from here.
