UPDATE: SEGA has confirmed that Sonic Frontiers is releasing on November 8th. You can watch the brand new trailer below:
A new Sonic Frontiers trailer that you can only assume was meant to be featured in tomorrow morning’s Opening Night Live stream has appeared on YouTube and revealed the Sonic Frontiers release date. The game is set to release on November 8th for PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The November 8th release date puts it on the same day as Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones and just one day before PlayStation’s God of War Ragnarok, so it’s set to be a busy few days in the release calendar.
Sonic Frontiers is an open-world Sonic game and is set to be “an experience like never before where you can accelerate to new heights and experience the thrill of high velocity open-zone freedom”. Whilst it has traditional Sonic features such as grind rails and rings, it will also have puzzles in which you can collect items (similar to Breath of the Wild).
