Grand Theft Auto 6 Leaks

The Grand Theft Auto 6 Leak Legitimacy Grows As Take-Two Copyright Strikes And Leaker Tries To Negotiate With Rockstar

This is evolving quickly.

Yesterday, we got to witness what seemed to be over 90 Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay videos and screenshots leaking in real time over on GTA Forums, and whilst the leaks seem to have stopped for now, there’s been a lot more advancements in the meantime.

Firstly, the gameplay footage is almost certainly confirmed to be Grand Theft Auto 6 with Take Two now copyright claiming all of the footage on YouTube, with the larger/longer videos all now showing “this video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Take 2 Interactive”.

Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier had also taken to Twitter to confirm that his sources at Rockstar had confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto 6 leak was indeed real and also confirmed that the footage is early and unfinished.

Where things get scary, is that the hacker claims to have source code for both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto 6, which could obviously have huge ramifications for Rockstar if it gets in the hands of the public.

This has already escalated quite quickly with the person saying that he’ll take offers of five figures for the Grand Theft Auto 5 source code, with this leading to someone posing as the hacker and getting transferred $100,000 (USD) in bitcoin by an undisclosed person in return for the GTA V source code. Obviously this wasn’t sent over as the person posing as the hacker wasn’t the one to receive the wire. At the time of writing, the person has said that he will not sell Grand Theft Auto 6 source code, but says that he is willing to negotiate with Rockstar.

According to VGC, in a post on GTA Forums, Teapotuberhacker said: ““Ok, so this has gone unexpectedly viral, woke up to 3000 Telegram DM’s. If you are an employee of Rockstar or Take 2 and you’re trying to contact me, send me a message containing 22559219889638875756 on Telegram or you can email me at X ** from your corporate email address ** I will try to read all these replies soon – I am looking to negotiate a deal.”

Honestly, there’s absolutely no telling what the days, weeks and months ahead look like for this.
