A Huge New Update Is Coming To Saints Row With Fixes And Improvements Galore

Keeping it strange

Deep Silver Volition has announced a huge “Autumn Update” for the recently-released Saints Row that promises a plethora of bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements and a morsel of free content.

Slated for late November, the update will pack in over 200 bug fixes and stability upgrades with a particular focus on overall game stability, issues with challenges and co-op functionality. The latter is something that’s been a prickly issue since launch, especially when it comes to properly communicating with players when and how co-op will work in-game, a separate endeavour that Volition promises it’s also working on.

Aside from fixes, the new update will also bring with it some much needed quality-of-life improvements. The studio says it’s working on many requested changes that include things like reducing activity repetition, better rewarding players for challenges, improving vehicle management, reworking haptic/rumble controller features and more.

Lastly, a new cosmetic pack aptly titled the Front to Back pack will be made available free to all players as part of the update and includes some colourful and visually confusing bits of gear:

Volition promises that this won’t be the end of updates and fixes for the game, so it’s great to see the team take on all the feedback they’ve been getting since launch and putting it into practice.

For what it’s worth, we have the Saints Row reboot a 7/10 in our review, saying “The new Saints Row doesn’t break any new ground, however it’s still a relatively fun time. If you’re a fan of the series, there’s no reason not to give this one a spin.”

Amazon currently has the game for just $62 with free shipping.
