Prince of Persia Sands of Time

The Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time Remake Isn’t Cancelled But Its Current State Isn’t Clear

Now is not the time.

The Prince Sands of Time Remake was originally announced over two years ago in September, 2020 with an original release date of January 2021, but despite it being almost two years on, the game still hasn’t released.

We already knew that production had moved to Ubisoft Montreal, which is strange in itself given how close we were to release, but before today, we hadn’t heard anything about the game.

Ubisoft today published an update that gave us a glimmer of hope that it was still on the way, but didn’t provide any updates on release timings or give us any new looks at the game.

In a Q&A posted on the company’s website, Ubisoft said that “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is not cancelled. The game is currently in development at Ubisoft Montréal.”

It has however gone on to cancel pre-orders due to the fact that game does not have a release date. This would lead us to believe that it’s still some time away.
