Here’s something unexpected – it seems as though PlayStation 4 consoles are making a comeback at Aussie retailers with a handful of shops restocking the last-generation hardware right before Christmas.

Now, they’re not exactly going for the kinds of bargain basement prices that they have in the past, more than likely due to the same circumstances that are keeping current-gen hardware prices sky-high. Currently it’ll set you back a full $439 for a 500 GB PlayStation 4 Slim console.

While there’s definitely still a market out there for a cheaper alternative to the PlayStation 5, we’re sure these would’ve come in greater handy last holidays where PS5 console stock was still in incredibly short supply. These days, it’s not overly difficult to get a hold of one in stores.
