IO Interactive has announced that it’s simplifying its modern HITMAN trilogy by rolling all three games into one under the title of HITMAN – World of Assassination as of January 26th.
What that means for current players is that anyone who already owns HITMAN 3 will be upgraded to World of Assassination and granted access to HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 base content, and for anyone purchasing the game new as of January 26th it’ll be a radically simplified purchase process.
With the three separate titles and their respective DLCs and various passes a fairly confounding mess to navigate currently, this is an incredibly welcome change. Going forward, there will be just two products available on digital storefronts, HITMAN – World of Assassination and the HITMAN – World of Assassination Deluxe Pack, with the contents as follows:
HITMAN – World of Assassination (USD $70 / Aus pricing TBD)
Includes: HITMAN 3, plus H1 GOTY Access Pass and H2 Standard Access Pass.
HITMAN – World of Assassination Deluxe Pack (USD $30 / Aus pricing TBD)
Includes: H3 Deluxe Pack, H3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection and H2 Expansion Access Pass.
We gave HITMAN 3 an 8.5 in our review, saying “HITMAN 3 is a decidedly epic conclusion to the events established in the first two games. It offers fantastic, well-realised locales with objectives that are unconventional, at least by HITMAN standards, to come out feeling fresh.”
