A Leaked Suicide Squad Screenshot Has Revealed Its Live Service Elements

I Harley think anyone asked for this.

A leaked screenshot that made its way around the internet recently, and has since been verified by VGC via an unnamed source, has outed the existence of at least a couple of “live service” adjacent features in Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The image, which is reportedly taken from a test build of the game, shows a version of the in-game menu screen where the game’s party of characters can be seen alongside a fairly standard array of game mode and customisation options. It’s a relatively innocuous screen at first glance, but looking across the top bar, tabs for features like a Battle Pass and in-game Store can be seen, all but confirming that this will be another game in the Warner Brothers stable with an eye firmly toward post-launch monetisation.

For what it’s worth, VGC’s development source also claims that the Battle Pass in Suicide Squad is strictly focused on cosmetic items like skins and that the four unique “currencies” seen just underneath are, in fact, individual XP counters for each character.

The website was told, “You don’t start off debuffed and weak. You just start off great and can get ridiculous, like Arkham Knight’s Batman.”

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League releases on May 26th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Amazon has the cheapest pre-order price at $79.99 with free shipping.
