PLAION has announced that it’s partnered with Sydney small fashion brand, Patches Paradise, to create twelve stunning bespoke jackets based on the dual protagonists from the just-released Mato Anomalies.
The jackets feature two distinct designs for both the private detective character of Doe, and the exorcist Gram, the pair of unlikely companions you’ll control throughout the game. Given Mato Anomalies’ healthy reverence for other visual novel/RPGs like Persona, it stands to reason that the art on these handpainted jackets is sick. I do love a good denim jacket, and what better way to compliment it than with some gorgeous anime-esque character design?

Mato Anomalies is one of the games I was able to check out last year at Gamescom and demos have popped up from time to time in Steam fests, but if you’re yet to get familiar with it, it’s a turn-based RPG set in the cyberpunk city of Mato, with dual playstyles based on its protagonists, Doe and Gram. Players will spend their time between investigation gameplay and combat in Persona-esque dungeons, battling demons.
Mato Anomalies is out now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in the digital realm, and a physical version is coming to stores on March 17th.
