Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Release Date

Spider-Man 2’s Venom Actor Just Casually Dropped The Game’s Release Month

I don't think he was meant to say that.

Sounds like old mate Tom Holland isn’t the only one allowed to leak classified Spider-Man info, with one of the voice and mo-cap actors for Insomniac’s upcoming and much-anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 seemingly outing the game’s release month and marketing plans for this year.

In a (slightly odd) response to a series of tweets stemming from a photo of himself inside a fancy motion capture setup, Venom actor Tony Todd has just come right out and spilled the tea with the claim that the game will be coming in September, with some big marketing activity coming the month before:

Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold breath! Gonna be necessary

While it’s obviously hard to say whether Todd genuinely knows what’s going on over at Insomniac and PlayStation, and I’m sure as hell he wasn’t meant to come right out and say it, it certainly makes a lot of sense that we’d see the game around that time. We already knew that Spider-Man 2 was set to launch in the Australian “Spring” months, which are September through November.
