Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Is A Brand New Metroidvania-Inspired Action Platformer

Surprise!

The Summer Game Fest Showcase premiered today, bringing with it a heap of new game reveals, trailers and exciting updates on a ton of games across a stacked show.

The show opened with an interesting one, from Ubisoft despite the company having its own presentation happening next week. It’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, an all-new side-scrolling action adventure platformer starring the iconic character.

It looks super fun and fluid from this short glimpse at gameplay, and the game already has a release date of January 18, 2024 for Ps5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Ubisoft says it’s inspired by the metroidvania genre, which is exciting, and it certainly does promise the concept of gaining new abilities for the Prince in order to dive deeper into the game world, set on Mount Qaf.
