Tekken 8’s Release Date Has Finally Been Revealed

Still a bit of a w8.

Update: As revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, Tekken 8 is set to launch on the date reported in yesterday’s leak – on January 26th, 2024.

Harada-san was also on stage to debut a new trailer, which also introduced the new Arcade Quest mode. Take a look at that just below:

Fans eagerly awaiting news of a release date for Tekken 8, a game that’s been heavily marketed and publicly demoed without so much as a nod toward when fans will finally be able to purchase it, might be in luck thanks to a potential leaked date that popped up on social media today.

X user @ALumia_Italia, who we know from previous confirmed leaks mostly involving backend data from the Microsoft Store, has simply posted, “Tekken 8: January 26, 2024” suggesting we’ll see the game very early next year.

Obviously this is yet to be officially confirmed, but with the game confirmed to make an appearance at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live in the coming hours we won’t be waiting long to know for sure.

We’ve had a few chances to get hands-on with Tekken 8 in the past and are eagerly awaiting its release after saying, “There’s a clear commitment to delivering a unique type of play within the scope of TEKKEN, as well as creating something that warrants the description of being a truly next-gen fighting game. Though I’m uncertain as to how all of its systems will come together in totality, TEKKEN 8 seems like it’s going to be a remarkably good time for both fans and newcomers alike when it launches in the next 12 months.”
