Scorn’s PS5 Release Date Has Been Revealed

Hell month strikes again.

Ebb Software has announced that the previously Xbox and PC-exclusive first person atmospheric horror game Scorn, which was recently revealed to be making its way to PS5, will be making its debut on PlayStation’s platform on October 3rd.

Yes, another October 2023 release – at least this one’s nice and early on.

For its PS5 port, Scorn will also include some console-specific enhancements including DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support to really sell the innate physicality of the experience.

“We are incredibly excited to announce the release date for Scorn on PlayStation 5 and bring our nightmarish experience to a whole new set of players,” Ljubomir Peklar, game director of Ebb Software, said in an accompanying press release. “We’ve taken full advantage of the DualSense’s capabilities to heighten the level of immersion when playing on PlayStation 5. From the haptic feedback of the controller which varies depending on the in-game sound and intensity of the situation to the adaptive triggers which make every tool and weapon feel unique. The introduction of these features take Scorn’s horrors to a whole new level, gripping players in an entirely fresh way.”

We gave the original Xbox/PC release of Scorn a 7.5/10, saying “Scorn successfully leverages an intense atmosphere with striking artistic direction to offer a horror journey like no other. While combat can get in the way of an otherwise strong offering, and the story takes a back seat to everything else, Scorn is a unique horror experience and a great debut.”

You can pre-order Scorn for PS5 right here on the PlayStation Store for $54.95 or at a discounted pre-order price of $49.45 for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
