Retro gaming and Jurassic Park fans are in for a treat, with the folks at Limited Run Games revealing that they’re cooking up a gorgeous, retro-flavoured collector’s edition for the upcoming Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection, which bundles together the original Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues games released across the NES, SNES and Game Boy.
This collection is being published by Limited Run and is built on their retro Carbon Engine, with the games enhanced to include save states features, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes.
Limited Run is also releasing a regular physical edition of the pack on PS5, PS4, Xbox and Switch, but the very special Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection Prehistoric Edition comes with a physical version of the duo of games for either PS5, PS4 or Switch along with a great-looking retro outer box, a VHS-style slip case, poster, and acrylic lamp that can display either a pixelated T-rex or Jurassic Park logo, a park ID badge, SteelBook case, CD soundtrack and booklet.
It’s definitely not cheap at $149.99 USD (around $230) plus likely an exorbitant amount in shipping, but pre-orders kick off here at midnight on Friday, September 1st AEST.
