Here’s 11 Minutes Of New Alan Wake 2 Gameplay Footage In 4K

Keen!

IGN has just published a full 11 minutes of gameplay from Remedy’s hugely-anticipated upcoming sequel, Alan Wake II, as part of its “IGN First” feature month for the game.

The gameplay takes place in town of Watery, and follows FBI Agent Saga Anderson as one of the game’s two playable protagonists. The footage shows off a mixture of exploration, sleuthing, some light puzzle work and also a bit of combat through the gloomy, foggy town’s main street, in its stores and spooky backwoods as well as within Saga’s “Mind Place.”

For Control fans, there’s a very exciting cameo almost immediately as the gameplay starts featuring a music-loving janitor whose connection to the Finnish god of water now holds more weight than ever given his geographical location at this point.

Remedy recently revised their release date for the game, pushing it back by a short 10 days, saying: “An update from the Alan Wake 2 team: we’re moving Alan Wake 2’s launch from October 17th to October 27th.

“October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games. We can’t wait to show you what everyone’s favorite novelist is up to in the Dark Place next week. Thanks for your patience!”
