Silent Hill: Ascension’s Premiere Trailer Has Dropped And It’s Coming To PlayStation’s New Streaming App

Fog yeah.

Genvid Entertainment has finally dropped the Premiere Trailer for its upcoming interactive series, Silent Hill: Ascension, ahead of its world premiere on on Wednesday, November 1st at 12PM AEDT for iOS and Android devices as well as desktop browsers.

You can pre-register on the Google Play Store here or the App Store here.

The trailer gives us a look at the Hernandez family who reside in a rust-belt town in Pennsylvania and the Johansen family, who live in a dying fishing village in Norway, with each facing a cult-induced horror that will eventually connect them. Check it out below:

“We’re excited to introduce the Johansen and Hernandez families into the Silent Hill universe,” Genvid’s series creator, Stephan Bugaj, said in a press release. “As they delve deeper into their own horrors, and their towns are simultaneously consumed by mass hysteria, these two families will uncover strange connections between them despite being a world apart.”

“There has never been an experience like Silent Hill: Ascension before,” CEO, Jacob Navok, added. “It’s not a game, but an interactive streaming series that will change as the audience makes decisions together. While I’m executive producing the title, I don’t know how it will end. That is in your hands. And the content you make will be streamed worldwide on televisions and phones, through our relationships with Sony Pictures, Google, Apple and others. Participating in Silent Hill: Ascension each day means you’ll be part of history that will never come again.”

Along with the new trailer, it was also announced that the series would be coming to the Sony Pictures Core App, which is available for Bravia TVs and Sony phones and just launched on PS5 and PS4 consoles, with (non-interactive) weekly catch-up episodes coming to the service.

Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Senior VP, Pete Wood, said, “We are exploring all new territory with Silent Hill: Ascension. Through this unique venture with Genvid, we are excited to offer viewers on Sony devices a weekly catch up on the action of Silent Hill: Ascension with full episodes of compiled scenes from this innovative, interactive series.”
