Two PlayStation Plus Deluxe PS1 Classics For April Have Seemingly Leaked And They’re A Couple Of Bangers

Dan's back!

Despite no formal announcement of the full suite of additions as of yet, we already seem to know quite a bit about what’s hitting the PlayStation Plus service in April for those on the Extra and Deluxe tiers. The official announcement of a couple of day one drops in Dave the Diver and Tales of Kenzera: ZAU has already come, but now we have some more unofficial world on a couple of Classics titles impending for Deluxe members this month.

We already told you about the 1996 PS1 Star Wars rail shooter gem, Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, coming to PS+ Deluxe in April thanks to a rogue PSN backend listing, but now a second game has popped up – this time because of a list of trophies that’s appeared. That game is the banger action-adventure game, MediEvil, which is easily one of the more memorable title from the PS1’s stacked catalogue.

The trophy list has surfaced on Exophase and can be seen here. While it’s not spelled out in the trophy list that this is for a PS1 Classics version of the game, eagle-eyed fans have pointed out that the list seems to be near-identical to that of the PS4 remake of MediEvil save for one change – a tombstone-breaking trophy has been swapped out for one about barrels. As users have pointed out, tombstones weren’t a breakable object in the PS1 version and so that trophy wouldn’t have worked, therefore a change like this would have been made specifically for the PS1 version:

There’s also always the chance that, even if this is a PS1 addition to the PlayStation Plus Deluxe catalogue, this trophy list could have popped up very early and MediEvil could hit in a much later drop, but the timing certainly seems to suggest we’ll be able to relive the original adventure of Sir Daniel Fortesque in a week’s time.
