It’s been well documented that the PlayStation Portal has been a success for PlayStation and it looks like a new version is set to be released this year.
According to well known leaker KeplerL2, PlayStation is still committed to releasing a standalone RDNA5 handheld but it’s also set to release an OLED PlayStation Portal with a potential 120hz display.
Posting on Neogaf, KeplerL2 said: “Yeah seems to be a success, they’re even doing another version this year… OLED version”.
In terms of when we can expect to see it is unclear, but given PlayStation were the first major brand to use an OLED in its handheld (Vita means life), no doubt this makes total sense.
