Hyperkin, the folks that brought back the chunky “Duke” controller from the original Xbox a few years ago, are back at it again.
The just-announced “Xenon” controller is a replica of the classic Xbox 360 controller in all its white-on-grey glory and iconic silhouette. It’s easy to forget how great this little controller was given the gradual improvements we’re blessed with every new Xbox console generation, but just looking at the single product photo of the Xenon supplied brings the sensation of holding it rushing back into my palms.
We know the controller will connect via a detachable USB-C cable (no wireless, sorry), and offer a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as slightly-revamped buttons to accommodate the newer Xbox consoles. Little other detail has been announced though, as yet there’s nothing around a release date or price to speak of. It’ll be licensed via the Designed for Xbox badge and work with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs.
Today, 17 years ago, the #Xbox360 launched to much acclaim. Now announcing the Xenon, a replica of the official #Xbox 360 Controller – licensed with Designed for Xbox – for Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/Windows 10|11 PCs.
Full circle. Back in control.
