Xbox And Bethesda Will Be On The Show Floor At Gamescom 2023

Sternenfeld.

With Gamescom scheduled to happen this year on August 23rd – August 27th, another major player has confirmed that they’ll have a presence at the show following the announcement of Nintendo’s plans to attend, and it’s none other than Xbox.

Not much else has been confirmed as far as activities for Team Green go, but the official Gamescom twitter has shared the news that it’ll feature Xbox in some capacity on the show floor this year, and its bringing Bethesda along for the ride as well. Will attendees get a chance to try out Starfield just over a week before launch? Will we see Todd Howard step into the AEW ring with Mario and the giant, inflatable Sonic the Hedgehog? I can’t fathom a world in which that doesn’t happen!

Tickets for Gamescom are on sale now, just in case you happen to be in Cologne, Germany this coming August.

Day tickets for Thursday, Friday and Sunday are 27 EUR each, which Saturdays are 36 EUR, and various discounted or family package passes are also available here.

Gamescom has a lot to prove this year with one of its biggest competitors in terms of sheer size and volume of content and audience being E3, which was sadly cancelled for 2023 due to a number of challenges.

Organiser ReedPop had said at the time of the cancellation announcement, “This was a difficult decision because of all the effort we and our partners put toward making this event happen, but we had to do what’s right for the industry and what’s right for E3. We appreciate and understand that interested companies wouldn’t have playable demos ready and that resourcing challenges made being at E3 this summer an obstacle they couldn’t overcome. For those who did commit to E3 2023, we’re sorry we can’t put on the showcase you deserve and that you’ve come to expect from ReedPop’s event experiences.”
