I am nothing if not continually amazed at the ingenuity and dedication of Bethesda RPG fans, and once again they’ve shown up in full force in the lead up to the release of the studio’s role playing magnum opus, Starfield.
First shared by GamesRadar, a user on Reddit by the handle “asd8dhd” has spent an unbelievable 200 hours researching, compiling, sleuthing and deducting to figure out what they believe is the entire available skill tree in Starfield – well over a month before the game’s September 6th release. You can see the fruits of their labour in the thread below:
After almost 200 hours of research, here is the complete skill system used in Starfield (SPECULATION)
by inStarfield
It’s an astronomical (heh) effort with a scary degree of detail and detective work put into not only figuring out the names and icons of the 60+ skills in the game but nearly every detail including what each skill does across numerous upgrade tiers, how skill points work and how they’re spent in the skill trees and more, with a 44-page Google document and over 100 images all provided to support and explain their findings.
The Starfield community has also chipped in to help correct anything that seemed inaccurate or add their own findings and speculation to essentially reveal Starfield’s entire skill tree and systems well before Bethesda has. It’s an insane amount of effort and something only a rabid fanbase like Bethesda’s would dare to attempt.
For the more patient among us, Starfield launches on September 6th for Xbox Series X|S and PC and will be included with Game Pass from day one. You can pre-order the Digital Premium Upgrade on Amazon or the Xbox Store if you have Game Pass and want to get started five days early on September 1st, as well as pick up the other versions of Starfield below:
