S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s Release Date Has Slipped Into Early 2024

Not much longer to wait.

Although it was originally meant to launch this year, an update to the official press kit and fact sheet for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has revealed that the game is now due to release early next year.

The new fact sheet on the website reads, “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl releases on PC and Xbox Series X/S in
Q1 2024. The game will be available on Game Pass day one, and preorders are opened on our website, as well as on Steam and GOG.”

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is currently a big feature at Xbox’s Gamescom 2023 presence, with visitors at GC able to get their hands on the game for the first time ever. Early reports are quite positive, describing the game as having brutal and challenging gunplay with smart enemy AI and Unreal Engine 5-powered visuals pack with detail and atmosphere.

The official fact sheet for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has also detailed some of its key features, as below:

  • Play a major part in a branching cinematic story that unfolds in the setting of a local post-apocalyptic dark science fiction landscape.
  • Experience one-of-a-kind gameplay, featuring the elements of a first person shooter, immersive sim, and horror.
