Some Xbox Backwards Compatible Games Are Missing From The Australian Store

Yesterday, we reported that Xbox Backwards Compatibility was finally arriving on Xbox One with 13 games in the starting lineup. For reasons that are unclear only half of these appear to have made its way onto the Australian store.

Thankfully, if you own the original Xbox disc, you’re able to install them, but for some reason they’re not available to purchase. It’s unclear if this is due to a licensing issue that is specific to Australia. We’ve reached out to Xbox for comment.

The games currently missing from the lineup are:

  • Bloodrayne 2
  • Dead To Rights
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Red Faction II
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • The King of Fighters
  • Neowave

For all original Xbox games played on Xbox One, they’ll boast a resolution boost up to 1080p as well as full System Link functionality across multiple consoles. Xbox, Xbox One and Xbox One S players can all play with each other via System Link. As Xbox Live no longer offers services for these games, however, online play will no longer function.
