More Vita love everyone. The arcade-like psychedelic shmup Futuridium EP is coming to PS Vita in an “all new, enhanced, expanded, turbo charged edition” titled Futuridium EP Deluxe.
“In Futuridium you are a lone starship pilot who gets lost in a dimensional loop just before a big space battle: with a limited and constantly depleting energy bar” says Mauro Fanelli, co-founder of the two person Italian indie studio MixedBag “your only hope is to fly as fast as possible over enormous space dreadnoughts and destroy all the cyan power cubes, replenishing your energy tank and revealing the dreadnought’s power core, which must be destroyed to move on to the next ship.”
The Vita seems to be getting a lot of attention in the form of ports and indie games. In one side, I find it fantastic that it’s a successful platform for indie developers, but on the other side, I find it sad that all the attention the Vita seems to be getting is just ports. You be the judge of that.
Here’s a video of the game in action.
