As Disney pulls its content off streaming platforms globally, Stan has today announced that locally, it’s gotten the right to some of the most popular Disney content and will continue to add to it overtime.
Starting tomorrow, Disney will add a number of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies.
Animation titles in the deal include the Toy Story films, Frozen, The Lion King, The Incredibles, Wall-E, Beauty and the Beast, and the live-action adaptations of Maleficent and Cinderella.
The Marvel titles include the Iron Man, Thor, Avengers and Captain America films and their sequels, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and the box office juggernaut Black Panther.
The deal also covers two of the Lucasfilm Star Wars titles, the eighth Star Wars “saga” film The Last Jedi and the standalone film Solo; the earlier films in the Star Wars library are currently licensed in Australia to the Seven Network.
Content from the Disney and Disney Junior channels, such as Sofia the First, The Lion Guard, Tangled: The Series, Star Wars Rebels, Andi Mack and Duck Tales, will also be included.
