HBO’s The Last Of Us 4K Physical Release Is Up For Pre-Order Now And There’s A Gorgeous SteelBook

Aussies can finally watch in 4k!

The HBO adaptation of Naughty Dog’s beloved The Last of Us just finished up its first season TV run, gaining critical acclaim and setting multiple viewership records.

Now that it’s done, pre-orders have already begun to go live for the physical releases. Coming to local stores will be a DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K UHD release containing the full first season. Better yet, there will also be a beautiful limited SteelBook 4K UHD release.

So far, JB has the SteelBook listed as an exclusive, but is missing any final images to show how it’ll look when it hits stores here. There is a SteelBook version listed on Amazon UK right now though, which might indicate what our version will look like:

A release date doesn’t seem to be in effect locally yet, but globally it’s set to arrive on July 17th. You can pre-order the Australian prints of the series right now at JB Hi-Fi:

While the physical release doesn’t have a strict date just yet, HBO’s The Last of Us is available to stream on both Binge and Foxtel.

Binge is available starting from $10 per month for standard definition streaming, $16 per month for high definition and up two devices simultaneously, or $18 per month for high definition and up four devices simultaneously. Foxtel will also have the series via FOX Showcase, which all subscribers of Foxtel or Foxtel NOW will be able to access as part of the base subscription. Like Binge, a free trial is also available for new users to Foxtel NOW, for 10 days – take a look at that here.
