Although it hasn’t officially been revealed yet, Five Nights At Freddy’s fans have discovered early that a new spin-off video game is on the way that takes the hugely-popular horror franchise to the world of pixel art – and creator Scott Cawthon has gone ahead and given his blessing for folks to talk about it now that the word is out there.
Cawthon said in a reply on Reddit, “No need to keep it all hush-hush. It’s okay! Yes, I was trying to keep it a secret for a bit longer, but now that it’s out, that’s fine. This game has been in development for a really long time actually, and I’m really proud of the final product. It will be a 10th anniversary game!”
The game is in development at WrestleQuest developer Mega Cat Studios, who are no strangers to great-looking pixel art and animations. Cawthon mentioning that it will be a 10th anniversary game suggests it’ll be out somewhere around August this year. No specific platforms or other information has come out as of yet.
Since Scott says discussions on the project's leaked trailer don't need to be kept hush-hush anymore… let's talk about it!
