A Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie Sequel Has Been Officially Confirmed For A 2025 Release

Six Nights and a Movie.

Although its creators haven’t exactly been secretive about a sequel in the works, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have now confirmed that a second Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is on the way and it’ll hit screens of some kind in Spring 2025.

Blumhouse broke the news in an all-caps post on X that says (in a kinder case), “We are confirming for the first time that there will be a sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s, coming Fall Spring 2025.”

The film was originally scheduled to begin filming in July this year but had reportedly been postponed. A few days ago, Jason Blum posted images of a creator at Jim Henson’s workshop seemingly working on sculptures of Mangle and Toy Bonnie, suggesting they’ll be featured in the sequel.

As Variety reports, the first movie did surprisingly well against some pretty scathing reviews and came out as Blumhouse’s highest-grossing film of all time at $297 million USD globally, so a follow-up makes a ton of sense.
