Capcom’s “Super Election” Shows That People Really Want New Dino Crisis And Mega Man Games

There's still time to vote!

Update 02/04: Although the Capcom Super Election is still running until April 23th (get your votes in here), the Capcom Town account on X has already shared some interesting insight ahead of time with a word cloud depicting the most popular comments from more than 200,000 votes already handed in.

With the survey asking folks things like which Capcom games they’d want to see get sequels/remakes/reboots, it’s interesting to see what titles people have mentioned most – and hopefully comes as an indication to Capcom that it should explore these ideas. Especially when you look at the below and see how popular terms like “Dino Crisis,” “Mega Man” and “Ace Attorney” have been so far:

Also coming in as hot terms are words like “game” which, of course, and somewhat endearingly the words “thank you” are also among the most popular. There’s a bit of Darkstalkers, Devil May Cry and Onimusha in there for good measure, and of course plenty of variations on Resident Evil titles.

The survey closes April 12th, so we’ll no doubt get a deeper look at the results following that.

Capcom is once again asking fans what they’d like to see from the future of the company and its rich stable of existing IPs, and this time it’s doing it in the form of a “Super Election,” or basically a dressed-up survey.

The survey starts by asking users fun things like what their job would be if they were a member of Capcom Town and what special move they dream of having, before moving on to the voting process proper where you’re able to tell the company about your favourite Capcom games and characters, what you like about Capcom (insecure much?) and most importantly what games you’d like to see sequels/remakes/reboots for.

Some of the choices include series’ like Dino Crisis, Okami, Onimusha and probably some others that aren’t those three and therefore not worth voting for… And at the end of it all you’ll get emailed a cute wallpaper card based on those initial couple of personal answers.

Capcom’s next big release is Dragon’s Dogma 2, which launches on March 22nd for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and like its predecessor will be a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more.

On their journey, players will be joined by “pawns” that are designed to feel unique and responsive in a way that attempts to mimic the camaraderie of having real players along for the adventure.

The game will be available in both a Standard and a Deluxe edition digitally, as well as a standard physical edition. You can find out more and get a digital pre-order in via the official website here, or pre-order the physical copy on Amazon at a discounted price of $99 here.
