An interesting Twitter conversation between CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford and potential future Nintendo Switch buyer has lead us to believe that there is no current plan to bring Borderlands 3 to the Nintendo Switch.

I do not see that as happening. We were talking to Nintendo, but that stopped for some reason. They have other priorities.

It confirmed in April last year that a new Borderlands was in production at Pax East. We don’t know much about the game, but it shouldn’t be too long before we see some kind of teaser.
Pitchford had previously commented on the likelihood of his games hitting the Nintendo Switch after the reveal in October stating that “it’s interesting, but it has never been easy for third parties”.
