You Can Buy Nintendo Switch Games With Your My Nintendo Points Starting Today

Last month, Nintendo announced that they were revamping My Nintendo in the near future, allowing us to spend our gold coins on Nintendo Switch games.

Well, that’s coming into effect today. Starting today, you’ll be able to use 1 gold point to purchase Nintendo Switch games with 1 point equalling 1 cent. If you’re buying games digitally on the eShop, you’ll get 5% of your purchases back in points, where physical purchases will get you 1% of the eShop price for that game.

Nintendo has used the example that if you buy a game on the eShop for $79.95, you’ll get 400 gold points which will get you $4 in credit towards your next purchase. Theoretically, you’d need to spend about $1200 to get a full priced title free.
