Well, that’s coming into effect today. Starting today, you’ll be able to use 1 gold point to purchase Nintendo Switch games with 1 point equalling 1 cent. If you’re buying games digitally on the eShop, you’ll get 5% of your purchases back in points, where physical purchases will get you 1% of the eShop price for that game.
Nintendo has used the example that if you buy a game on the eShop for $79.95, you’ll get 400 gold points which will get you $4 in credit towards your next purchase. Theoretically, you’d need to spend about $1200 to get a full priced title free.
