The Nintendo rumour mill has been going wild overnight.
Several outlets (including VentureBeat and Eurogamer) are reporting that Nintendo is looking to go big for Mario’s 35th anniversary which is happening this year.
Nintendo is planning on releasing a Super Mario All Stars 2.0 type collection which includes Nintendo Switch remasters of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy 2. It’s unclear if all of these games will release on their own or as a collection at this point, but it’s hard to believe that remasters of all of these games will release all at once.
If that isn’t enough Mario for you, a Super Mario 3D World Deluxe Edition style release is apparently on the way (the game originally released on Wii U) as well as a brand new Paper Mario game. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a new Paper Mario game releasing this year.
The plans were originally supposed to be revealed at E3 2020 (before it was cancelled). It’s unclear if this will still go ahead at this point in time.
