A Leaked Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom TV Commercial Shows Off Even More Awesome Gameplay Footage

HYPE!

If the final Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer wasn’t enough for you yesterday, an American TV commercial that is presumably meant for launch has leaked on Reddit giving us an even greater glimpse at some of the new gameplay features.

The trailer (which can be viewed here) shows Link using his glider to get down to Hyrule Castle, before quickly showing off a host of new things.

Whilst we saw a three-headed Gleeok (now confirmed) in the trailer yesterday, this footage reveals Link fighting a Flame Gleeok, which makes us think that there will be different elemental types in the game.

There’s also footage of Link building a Hylian hovercraft, as well as Link once again using the Ascend ability to get into some kind of tree house. In a new location type all together, we also see Link exploring a deep down, dark cave which he lights up using light arrows.

Interestingly enough, the Tears of the Kingdom website has also been updated and reveals some new details about the game:

Firstly, it reveals that Link will start his journey on one of the mysterious floating islands:

“Link begins his journey on one of the many mysterious floating islands that have suddenly appeared in the skies high above Hyrule. It’s there our hero will have to gain new abilities before returning to the surface world to begin his epic adventure.”

It also talks about some of the new locations including the “dank caves” that we get to see in the above leaked TV commercial

“The sky isn’t the only thing that’s changed in Hyrule. Familiar locations have been dramatically transformed, with new towns, dank caves, and mysterious gaping chasms springing up across the world—all waiting to be explored.”
