The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Brings A Bunch Of New Green Friendly Features

Earlier today, EA and Maxis revealed a brand new trailer for the upcoming Sims 4 expansion pack, Eco Lifestyle. The expansion is set for release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 5 and you can check out an overview of some of the upcoming features of the expansion in the new gameplay trailer below:

In The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle, players are invited to the sustainable city of their dreams, Evergreen Harbor. In this unique new world, Sims have a direct influence on the state of the neighborhood with every decision they make and can embrace a more sustainable lifestyle and make a positive impact on their community and the environment. The cleaner Evergreen Harbor gets, the more you’ll see nature thriving. You can also determine whether the skies are smoggy or clear enough to see the aurora borealis glimmering above, choose to let garbage pile up on the streets of your neighbourhood or clean it up to create lush green walking paths in town.

The new feature trailer shows players how Sims can reduce their eco-footprint and help restore the “green” in Evergreen Harbor by installing solar panels or wind turbines to power their homes and truly live off the grid, inspiring the community to vote for eco-friendly initiatives such as repurposing unused community spaces and gardens, upcycling materials and repurpose them for new creative goods and more.

Players can also get a glimpse of the new Civil Designer and Freelance Crafter career paths and see how their efforts can shape the transformation of their neighborhood into a blossoming beacon of sustainability. As a Freelance Crafter, Sims can busy themselves by creating candles, fizzy juices, upcycled objects, and more and selling them via online or mail order.

As Sims explore all of the environmentally-conscious efforts that The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle has to offer, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn how small changes can have a meaningful impact on the world around them.

As with all Sims 4 expansion packs, the base game (sold separately) is required for The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle and is available for pre-order now.
