The RTX 3080 is now on sale in Australia, but it looks impossible to get one. Minutes before the 11pm on-sale date even hit, retailers such as Scorptec, Mwave, PLE and Centrecom were all struggling to keep up with demand, failing to load or showing errors.
At the time of writing, retailers have either sold out of partner cards from the likes of Gigabyte, MSI and Asus (before we even had a chance to load the page), or they’re still struggling to load.
It was fairly obvious that this thing was going to be hard to come by, with Mwave announcing that they’d raffle the Founder’s Edition, but to see it sell out instantly is definitely frustrating. Especially after the fact that the reviews were so positive.
