The folks over at Devolver Digital, in a way that only the folks over at Devolver Digital could do, have hosted a special digital showcase with the sole purpose of announcing a handful of delays to games in its publishing stable.
Clocking in at just three minutes long, the Devolver Delayed showcase gave us a new look at five Devolver games, and by “a new look” I mean a new outlook on when they’re actually being released. In short: It’s 2024s across the board for some future funky fresh bangers, with the list of delays including (but not limited to):

- The Plucky Squire (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC)
- Stick it to the Stickman (PC)
- Anger Foot (PC)
- Pepper Grinder (PC, Nintendo Switch)
- Skate Story (PC)
The good news is that all five titles will benefit from the added delay, and rather than sit on their hands and wait until next year to hit that “Release Game” button, the studios responsible are going to use that time to work on their respective games even more and make them the best they could possibly be.
The showcase itself is a clever blatant but legally distinct riff on the kind of Direct announcements you’d see from another company, and does a great job at positioning these delays as rather good news, actually. It also serves as a reminder that Devolver still has a shit ton of other great games that are coming out this year, including The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, Gunbrella, Wizard With a Gun, KarmaZo, The Talos Principle II and the Broforce: Forever DLC.
