Hot off of the original The Evil Within being completely free to download and keep for Epic Games Store users, we now know that one of the next batch of free games is its bloody excellent sequel, The Evil Within 2.
That’s right, if you get in quick enough you’ll be able to snatch up both games in Shinji Mikami’s post-Resident Evil survival horror series with Tango Gameworks and Bethesda (though Mikami has since left the company and we hope he’s enjoying life).
Right now you can grab The Evil Within and Eternal Threads (a cool-looking first person story driven puzzle game) just by logging in and claiming them before October 27th at 2AM AEDT, and then as of that time and until November 3rd you’ll be able to score The Evil Within 2 and Tandem: A Tale of Shadows.
We gave The Evil Within 2 and 8/10 in our review when it originally launched, saying “The Evil Within 2 is an enjoyable, psychological and somewhat emotional trip that I probably won’t forget. As a sequel to it’s predecessor, it takes things in a rather different direction and tries several new things to mixed results. Nonetheless, The Evil Within 2 is a thrilling and tense experience that’ll appeal to most fans of the original and newcomers looking for a harrowing experience they’ve probably not had before.”
