Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Has Been Delayed By A Month On The Epic Games Store

Not Epic.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can’t seem to catch a break lately, with a recent round of fresh leaks following a closed alpha test that have resulted in a whole lot of the game’s story and characters being revealed ahead of time, and now one more slight delay to its launch – though mercifully localised to just one platform.

For reasons still unclear, the game’s Epic Games Store launch on PC will now be happening on March 6th AEDT, just over a month later than the February 2nd release on most other platforms, including on PC via other storefronts like Steam. Thankfully that means that players on PC can still buy and play the game alongside everyone else, it just limits their purchase options a touch. Epic is reportedly proactively cancelling any existing pre-orders too, so folks should be able to chuck that money down elsewhere with minimal fuss.

A WB Games community manager wrote in an update in the official Discord:

“The release for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league on the Epic Games Store is now March 5th, 2024. If you pre-ordered the game on this storefront, Epic will be cancelling your pre-order and refunding customers directly. A confirmation email of this cancellation will be sent directly from the Epic Games Store Support Team. If you have any further inquiries regarding your pre-order, please visit https://www.epicgames.com/help.”

In response to rampant leaks in recent days, Rocksteady has said, “We’re looking forward to players experiencing the story we’ve crafted in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League once the game launches in the new year. We hope everyone can play the game and feel each moment of the narrative for themselves.”

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on February 2nd, 2024. Amazon has pre-orders for $89 with no deposit, a pre-order price guarantee and free shipping.
