Sony promised that they’d blow the lid off Ghost of Tsushima with a State of Play and they absolutely delivered.
The 18 minutes of gameplay footage walked us through many of the different areas that we’ll be able to visit in Ghost of Tsushima which each being more gorgeous than the next. This included footage of how the game’s wind waypoint works and the fact that a fox will guide you to secrets (you can also give it pats). We got to see how combat duels work, how general combat works in a more action-orientated sense as well as a look at a more stealthy style of gameplay.
We also got to see how customisation for Jin (the main character) works in both a physical sense but also how this effects gameplay. We also got a look at how the photo mode works and got to learn that we can play the entire game in black and white.
Ghost of Tsushima launches on PlayStation 4 on July 17th, which is the same day as the newly announced Paper Mario game.
