We’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PC for more than a week now and as we stated in our review, there’s definitely a fair share of bugs there, but the console version looks to take it to a whole new level.
Less than 24 hours after release and there’s already a number of videos on the internet both from those who are playing the unpatched version and those that have updated. There’s issues with frame rates, crashes and weird things happening on PS4 and Xbox One.
A lot of these glitches and crashes are happening on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but the frame rate and things like texture load in seems to be a lot more consistent on these platforms. It was always going to be a struggle for PS4/Xbox One with CD Projekt Red saying that these versions were the reason for the delay. The Witcher 3 launched with numerous bugs on console, but these were ironed out, so it’ll be interesting to see how quickly the same happens for Cyberpunk 2077.
This is Cyberpunk 2077 – PS4 version 1.00. Resolution is literally below 720p and the game takes 20 seconds to load in textures. Inexcusable. Unfathomable. Unplayable. pic.twitter.com/AZ2OPTnkdL
