cyberpunk 2 point 1

Here’s What’s Coming In Cyberpunk 2077’s New Major Update Next Week

At least 0.1 better than the last one.

Update: CD PROJEKT RED has now lifted the lid on the big Update 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077, and it contains some hugely-requested features including a working metro system and portable radio, along with improvements to boss fights, accessibility and even more new vehicles and car chase features.

Here’s what CD PROJEKT RED has shared of the update so far:

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Highlights

Travel by NCART metro

Travel around Night City with ease thanks to Night City Area Rapid Transport metro services. Stop worrying about the traffic and enjoy the view thanks to the 5 metro lines stopping on a total of 19 stations spread throughout the city. Service available only after V receives the text message from NCART.

Radio on the go

This one is for all of the travelling audiophiles in our community! We’ve added a radioport that allows V to listen to the radio while exploring Night City on foot or riding the metro. It comes with adjustable volume and it will automatically turn off when game audio is crucial — for example during conversations.

Improved boss fights

We’ve introduced a number of improvements to boss fights, most notably to the one with Adam Smasher. It is now more iconic, as Smasher will better adapt to the tactics used by players, will be much more relentless and will use Sandevistan — much like he was in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Attention all petrolhe… <ekhm> CHOOH2-heads!

We’ve got a lot of new stuff for all motoring enthusiasts out there!

  • New vehicles, including new motorbikes and a real classic: a cabriolet version of Porsche 911!
  • Replayable car races, available after the race with Claire is finished.
  • More immersive motorbike riding — including ability to throw knives while riding, leaning, doing wheelies and even flips!
  • New car chases — if you mess with the gangs while doing gigs, they might hunt you down later!
  • Newly opened highway.

Making Cyberpunk even more accessible

We’ve moved all of the existing accessibility options and added a handful more to a new Accessibility tab in game settings. Would you like a simplified UI? Or maybe larger fonts? We’ve got you covered! You can read more about our accessibility features here.

Original Story: CD PROKECT RED might have only recently launched the huge 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077, alongside its Phantom Liberty expansion, but it’s already hyping up another new patch with Update 2.1, which will launch alongside the digital and physical Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition on December 5th.

While it didn’t reveal what would be in the new update, it’s teasing the introduction of “new and hotly anticipated gameplay elements” which it’ll be talking about in more detail during a livestream tomorrow at 2AM AEDT. You’ll be able to watch the stream and learn what’s coming in Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 over on the official CD PROJEKT RED Twitch channel.

On December 5th, the same day Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition hits the shelves, we’ll release a free Update 2.1 introducing new and hotly anticipated gameplay elements.

“To learn more about the update join Alicja Kozera and @Lilayaah (Senior Community Managers) for REDstreams with guests, Pawe Sasko (Quest Director) and @Ayanosaur (Producer), on December 1st, 4 PM CET.”

We scored the game’s Phantom Liberty expansion (along with its 2.0 update) a huge 10/10 in our review, saying “On the back of Phantom Liberty, along with a really substantial rebuild of all of the game’s core systems, Cyberpunk 2077 manages to wash its hands of its past failures and emerges as the genuine article. At last, it’s the intoxicating escape I once thought it was and stands out, to me, as the premiere role-playing resort in what might very well be a modern golden age for the genre.”
