A New Knights Of The Old Republic Game Looks To Be On The Way

Following the news that Ubisoft is working on a Star Wars game, it seems other developers will be taking a piece of that pie too.

While it’s early days, several reports have emerged that a new Knights of the Old Republic game is indeed in the works, but outside of EA.

It’s obviously a rumour at this point, but what we do know is that it’s an “unexpected team” though apparently, this is more to do with the fact it’s a lesser-known team than a surprising one.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic originally released in 2003 for Xbox and PC, and was a huge success with fans. Developed by Bioware, who would eventually go on to make Mass Effect, the game holds a prestigious 94 on Metacritic and is oft considered to be one of the best Star Wars games.

A sequel, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, was released shortly after but developed by Obsidian, who would eventually go on to develop Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds.

If you don’t count the MMO, it’s been over sixteen years since Knights of the Old Republic graced our screens.

Here’s hoping we get some more info soon.
